Please refer to each event for specific age restrictions for each performance on the website or contact the BHH Box Office at for more information.  All ages, including lap children, require a ticket for The Buddy Holly Hall performances.

Alcohol or illegal substances may not be brought into the venue and may be only be purchased by persons 21 years of age and over with legal identification.  Beverages may NOT leave the premises.  Approved Sip Cups must be empty of liquids and/or poured out into approved receptacles after the show. The Buddy Holly Hall has sole discretion to stop the sale of alcohol at any time during an event.  

Animals are not allowed in the venue; however, The Buddy Holly Hall welcomes certified service animals.

Baby changing stations are located throughout the venue in Family Restrooms.

For the safety of our guests, no large bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue except for clear, small personal bags or purses (12″ x 12″ x 6″ maximum size).  Please note that some events may enforce a modified bag policy.  Visit the specific show on events page of the website or contact boxoffice@buddyhollyhall.com or call (806) 79-BUDDY (792-8339) for more information. 

Beverages are available for purchase at concession areas located in the theater.  All beverages will be served in 6 oz. or 12 oz. commemorative Buddy Sip Cups, which are the only cups allowed inside the theater for health and safety reasonsAll beverages must be consumed, poured out in designated receptacles, or thrown away before exiting the theater.

The Buddy Holly Hall Box Office will be opening soon. Hours are Monday – Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CT) and two hours prior to show time on performance days.  Hours will vary during holidays.

Please do not bring point and shoot cameras inside The Buddy Holly Hall with interchangeable/detachable lens or external flash (no professional photography), tablets and audio/visual recording devices, selfie sticks, tripods & monopods.  As a courtesy to our guests and performers, do not take cell phone photos or videos.

On the rare occasion that an event at The Buddy Holly Hall is postponed or cancelled, in most cases, refunds will be made at the point of purchase. Contact the Box Office at boxoffice@buddyhollyhall.com.

Please silence cell phones during performances and events.

All beverages will be served in 6 oz. or 12 oz. commemorative “Buddy Sip Cups” which are the only cups allowed inside the theater to help reduce spills and germs. The cups may be purchased at concessions and taken home as a souvenir. Beverage staff cannot refill cups due to health and safety reasons.

The health and safety of our guests and employees are of the utmost importance at The Buddy Holly Hall.  As part of ASM GLOBAL, The Buddy Holly Hall utilizes the Venue Shield program, the gold standard of facility cleanliness.

The Buddy Holly Hall requires clear bags and/or small purses for all ticketed events and are subject to change.

Guests may carry the following bag styles, sizes, and containers into The Buddy Holly Hall:

  • Bags must be clear (no tinting) plastic, vinyl or PVC and may be 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or smaller. 
  • One gallon or smaller, clear plastic bag (Ziploc or similar).
  • A small clutch bag (non-clear), approximately the size of a hand, or size 4.5” x 6.5” with or without a handle or a strap, are permitted into the venue, in addition to a clear plastic bag.
  • Exceptions for medically necessary items are allowed after proper inspection by security staff.

Prohibited bags (not limited to):

Purses or bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12” such as briefcases, backpacks, computer/tablet bags, camera/camera bags, cinch bags, fanny packs, luggage, diaper bags and binocular cases are prohibited.

CLEAR BAG POLICY FAQ’s

How many bags can each person bring into the venue?
Each ticketed guest may carry one clear bag – either a gallon Ziploc-style bag or a 12″ by 6″ by 12″ clear bag – plus a small clutch purse (4.5” x 6.5”).  The small clutch (non-clear) allows privacy for small personal items and can be easily searched.

Can guests carry smart phones into the venue separately?
Yes, guests may carry smart phones into the venue, but all phones must be silenced or turned off before the performance. No photography or video recording is allowed during performances.

What happens if the bag I bring does not meet the required guidelines?
Guests carrying bags that do not follow the policy will be asked store the items in their vehicles.

What if for medical reasons, my items won’t fit in the clear bag, what do I do?
Guests carrying medically necessary bags or equipment into a venue will be required to have their bag inspected and tagged by security.  For questions about medical equipment or other needs please contact info@buddyhollyhall.com or call (806) 792-8339.

Are strollers permitted?Strollers are not permitted inside the venue.

Are diaper bags allowed in the venue?
Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried inside a clear bag.  Each member of a family, including children, may carry an approved clear bag and/or a clutch purse into the venue.

Why does The Buddy Holly Hall have this policy?
The clear bag policy enables BHH security and staff to move guests more quickly through security checkpoints and helps to promote guest safety. 

Are all purses prohibited?
No.  Small clutch purses (non-clear) size 4.5” x 6.5” or smaller, with or without a handle or strap, are permitted along with either a 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear tote bag or a gallon freezer bag.

Do I have to put everything I’m carrying into the permissible bags?
No.  Guests may carry items in their pockets or jacket such as keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards, etc.

Does The Buddy Holly Hall have clear bags available to guests?
Guests who desire to carry a Buddy Holly Hall branded clear bag may purchase online at buddyhollyhall.com or at The Buddy Holly Hall store located inside the venue on the lower level (the online and venue Buddy Holly Hall shops are coming soon, these outlets are not open yet).

Buddy Holly Hall reserves the right to conduct an inspection on any bags, clothing, or other items at the entry points at any time for guest safety.

  • Admission to the venue be allowed only at the designated door opening time.
  • A valid ticket must be scanned by event staff at door to gain entry.
  • Downloading tickets to mobile devices prior to coming to The Buddy Holly Hall is strongly encouraged.
  • A facial covering over the nose and mouth is required for ages 10+ while in line to enter the building, in the lobby, restrooms and while seated at a performance at The Buddy Holly Hall due to COVID-19. The mask may be removed only while eating or drinking.
  • Guests may bring a clear bag (12″ x 12″ x 6″ maximum size) to the venue. Some events may enforce a modified bag policy.
  • Temperature checks (contact free) will be administered to patrons upon entry.
  • Guests will walk through magnetometers as part of the screening process.
  • Please keep a 6’ distance when waiting in lines like entry/exit, security check points, restrooms, merchandize and concession stands. Exception are groups who came together.  Floor markers and staff will be placed to enforce physical distancing wherever possible.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are available for usage throughout the venue.
  • There is no re-entry during a performance once a patron exits the building. A new ticket must be purchased to gain entry.
  • Protocols may be adjusted without notice in accordance with guidelines from government and public health officials.
  • Failure to comply with the requirements of the protocols may result in removal from the venue without a refund.

The doors to the venue typically open one hour prior to an event unless noted otherwise by tour management. Please follow The Buddy Holly Hall on social media or check the website at buddyholly-staging.fpblu1vj2v-95m3257lr3rv.p.runcloud.link for event updates.

Drones are not permitted inside or outside the venue, unless specifically approved in advance by venue management.

Please be aware that traffic and other delays can occur prior to showtime. The Buddy Holly Hall suggests you arrive a minimum of one hour before the start time of a show to avoid traffic, make parking arrangements and find seats. Valet parking is available for a fee, and complimentary parking is available in the parking lots near the theater.

Event staff can provide disposable earplugs for all ages during events upon request. Please reach out to event staff at The Buddy Holly Hall to receive a pair if needed.

Elevators are located in all public areas at The Buddy Holly Hall and are ADA compliant.  

Guests will walk through a magnetometer to be screened at the venue. The Buddy Holly Hall reserves the right to conduct an inspection on any bags, clothing or other Items at entry point at any time. Searching for restricted items is a condition of entry to protect patrons attending an event. Failure to comply magnetometer and bag checks will result in denial of entry into The Buddy Holly Hall.  

There will be no admission into the venue before the designated opening time. A valid ticket must be shown to gain entry.  

A trained medical professional is available onsite during performances and will provide medical attention when necessary.  The medical station is located at the Lower Level of The Buddy Holly Hall.  Ask event staff for assistance if needed.

Patrons requiring sign language, oral interpreters and/or assisted listening devices or other special needs during an event, should contact the event organizer in advance.  Please contact the BHH Box Office when purchasing your tickets at boxoffice@buddyhollyhall.com or call (806) 79-BUDDY (792-8339) so that we may accommodate your request.

The Buddy Holly Hall has the right to refuse entry to any guest deemed intoxicated upon arrival to the theater.

The Buddy Holly Hall is not responsible for any items that may be lost during events.  All items that are turned in will be placed with Security. Please contact the BHH Box Office at boxoffice@buddyhollyhall.com or call (806) 79-BUDDY (792-8339) to inquire about a lost item.

To request media and/or photography access to a show, the reporter/photographer must be an accredited member of the press, and media access must be approved by the tour at least two weeks in advance of the event. Please submit your request in writing to the Marketing department at hfields@buddyhollyhall.com.

Outside food & beverages are not permitted at The Buddy Holly Hall.  The Rave On restaurant is located on the main floor with snacks and dining options, and refreshments are available for purchase at concession areas located in the venue.  

Rave On is open to the public for lunch and dinner (even if the theater is not hosting a show) on Tuesdays – Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Rave On is located inside The Buddy Holly Hall with public access on the northeast side of the building, on the main floor of the venue.

General parking is complimentary for most events.  Valet parking is available for a fee.  Guests can drive to the west entrance of The Buddy Holly Hall (under the canopy) and a parking attendant will assist.  Parking lots are located near The Buddy Holly Hall at 1300 Mac Davis Lane, Lubbock TX 79401.  

Patrons using Taxis, Uber, Lyft or private cars may be dropped off at the west side of the theater, next to the VIP drop off area.

As a courtesy to our guests, the following items are prohibited at The Buddy Holly Hall (items are subject to change):

  • Large bags or backpacks (may bring clear bags only 12″ x 12″ x 6″ maximum size)
  • Strollers
  • Cameras with interchangeable or detachable lenses and/or external flash photography or audio/visual recording devices, including cell phone (photography and/or video)
  • Tablets, selfie sticks, tripods, monopods and other recording devices
  • Outside food and beverages 
  • Cans, metal/glass/plastic containers, bottles or flasks (empty or sealed bottles included).
  • Laptops, tablets, personal computers and two-way radios 
  • Weapons, firearms, pepper spray, pocketknives and any items that can or may be used as an improvised weapon 
  • Illegal drugs or alcohol
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Flashlights, laser pointers, flares or fireworks 
  • Airhorns, bells or whistles 
  • Balls, balloons or projectiles 
  • Sharp studded belts/bracelets, character masks, and/or chains 
  • Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, ads, flyers inside the venue or in parking areas without prior consent from The Buddy Holly Hall management
  • Clothing, garments, and/or signs displaying explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization toward any person(s) 
  • Flags, signs or banners

A Personal Seat License (PSL) allows patrons to reserve the same seats for all events, plus receive extra benefits such as admission to the VIP lounge before the show.  Contact the LEPAA offices at (806) 747-3200 for seat availability and for more information at The Buddy Holly Hall.

Restrooms are located on every floor for guests at The Buddy Holly Hall and are wheelchair accessible.

The Buddy Holly Hall is a smoke free facility.  Tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and vape pens are not permitted inside the theater.  Guests may smoke outside 20 feet or more from the building.

Tickets for The Buddy Holly Hall can be purchased online at buddyholly-staging.fpblu1vj2v-95m3257lr3rv.p.runcloud.link, in person at the venue Box Office, or by calling (806) 79-BUDDY.

All patrons of the Buddy Holly Hall, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admission, including children and infants carried in arms. Strollers are not allowed in the building. Please note that most ticketed events at The Buddy Holly Hall are not appropriate for preschool-age children.

There are no refunds or exchanges of tickets purchased. If an event is cancelled and rescheduled, patrons will receive the new performance information through the email address provided at the point of sale. If a performance is cancelled and is not re-scheduled, The Buddy Holly Hall will issue a full refund.

Scalpers and ticket brokers are not recognized ticketing agents by The Buddy Holly Hall. Allow for drive time, traffic and parking at least 1 hour prior to showtime. Doors typically open one hour before the time of an event.  The Rave On restaurant is open before and after for most ticketed shows and serves food and beverages for purchase.  Public access to the restaurant is located at the northeast entrance. 

Water fountains are located on each level of The Buddy Holly Hall.  Ask event staff for locations if needed. 

Weapons, firearms, pepper spray, pocketknives, and any items that can or may be used as an improvised weapon are prohibited at The Buddy Holly Hall.

Wheelchair ramps and elevators are located on all floors at The Buddy Holly Hall.  Please ask event staff for needed assistance. 

Guests may enjoy Wi-Fi by logging into The Buddy Holly Hall guest network.

The Will Call window at the Box Office is limited at this time.  Please use pre-printed or mobile tickets if possible.
